Do any of these online dating sites actually work?
I read somewhere that in 2008 about 8% of all marriages were from online dating sites. Their popularity seems to be growing. Fad or Fake?

Here are a few internet dating tips to help you start out. The first internet dating tip I can offer is to find an online dating sites that suits your dating goals. Different online dating sites cater to the varying needs of different people. For example, some cater to singles looking for a serious long term relationship or even marriage. Others are geared towards more flirtatious or casual internet dating. Determine what youre looking for from your dating experience and then take a trial with the online dating service that suits. Once youve found the right online dating sites youll want to set up a profile. The second suggestion in my list of internet dating tips relates to completing your profile. Always ensure you are careful not to divulge any personal information that isnt absolutely necessary. Primarily you want to communicate with honesty the things you like, dislike, and what you are specifically seeking from your date. Online dating can be a great experience but it can also be soured when you waste yours and other peoples time pretending to be someone youre not. I want to know that online dating sites such as e-harmoney, Yahoo Personals, and Match.com are a buch of rip off. I used to go on Match.com and they rip me off by charging me a lot when I stop subcribing and they charged me a lot of money. I hate that. So I stop using Match.com and also Yahoo Personals and just stick with MySpace.com and Friendster.com which I liked better. So do you think that those sites are a buch of rip off. And plus, I don’t think that meeting people from any of those websites are no good. What do you think?
OK so I’ve used quite a few online dating sites with no success. I’m lonely and haven’t been on a date for quite some time now. I’ve been trying to hook up with women online but I never get a response from the women I send out messages to on the internet dating sites. I’m beginning to think the whole internet dating thing is a scam and actually doesn’t work. So has anyone used any dating website that has actually yielded good results for them? Thanks.

Does anyone know of any good Online Dating sites that are literally 100 percent free, like you can send messages and read messages for free, you don’t have to use a Credit Card, I mean seriously, free, not even a penny. Like what are the Online Dating sites that have a good reputation and have a lost of users on it, and they are totally free, period.
I would say most of my dates (80-90%) come from online dating sites since it is more convenient (although I do not want to be dependent on it). However, some sites are riddled with spammers, so it definitely has it’s faults.
The traditional way of meeting people (face to face at parties, etc.) is still probably preferred.
What is your take on this? Which method do you prefer and what proportion of your dates come from online sites?
Thanks.
