Somebody has some good information on how to make money with online dating sites?
Statistics in my city show equal men & women (approx) except for over 60 where there are 10% more women than men. Yet, in online dating sites (for this city) I consistently see 20% more males online. Why is this?

I found out that I’ve been cheated on. Before my ex-husband-to-be announced he wanted a divorce from me he has been on online dating sites and talking to various women, applying himself as "single" and eager to move out and abandon me. I was shocked when he told me he wanted a divorce but I was patient as to let fate unwind and show me why he wanted it (I didn’t take his reasons as valid…they were pretty pathetic).
Was he too much of a chicken to tell me straight up that he wanted a divorce because he was disinterested in me? Why did he have to hide these women away from me and put up this elaborate fascade to make me think he’s not cheating on me? Why would he do this to someone who cares about him deeply (although I still do care, I cannot say I love him anymore). I tried my absolute best so I have no regrets, but I’m really upset that he has no guilt at all and acts very happy around me.
Am I justified? I need some support and advice…it’s very hard for me right now!
I have heard that some singles find it easier to meet people on social networking sites because there is less attention to the "dating" focus than the free online dating sites.

O. K. I’m asking you to be honest and possibly tattle on the online dating sites and the game I think they play toward luring new customers.
I’ve tried a 3 day free trial with "True", "Match", "Chemistry". and "fitness singles". com.
I’ve never paid for even a months’ membership with these particular sites
Part of the reason is I get anywhere from 15-20 winks,hugs,make- a- move,etc or messages a day from women at those sites.
Of course I can’t reply to any of them but the women who contact me don’t really match me at all. They either live across country, clearly indicate they’re looking for an exact age bracket,or the website will say that person has suddenly removed their profile. (very strange)
I can’t help wondering if I was a paid member if I’d really be getting all these inquiries. ( I’ve counted a 100 in a week sometimes ) Either I’m more desirable than I think or woman do a "scatter-gun" approach and I’m naive to that but my question is……

I had a very bad experience with Yahoo Personals in USA, this online dating "service" is the worst: most of the people there are a bunch of losers, and the staff is real nasty, a rip-off site.

I lost my mother 3 years ago to breast cancer. It was a really hard road for me and my dad to cope because she was only 43. But its been exceptionally hard watching my dad try to find someone to share his life with. I don’t want him to be alone and its taking him longer than he thought. He’s tried a few of the online dating sites (match, chemistry) and everyone seems more interested in playing silly dating games instead of trying to connect with someone. He’s in his late 40s and really isn’t the go out and meet people type. Anyone have a good experience with one of the dating sites? Or have any other ideas about where he can meet someone?
