Would you tell him…?

I signed up for an online dating service and put my location as a place I don’t live but will be relocating soon. I just wanted to do a little research, you know like apartment hunting…lol. Well, when I did my first search a guy I have already met & went on a date with popped up as a match. Although we are still in touch, vaguely, somewhere along the way I blew it with this guy. So I’m not sure if I should mention our "match" next time we speak. I am suppose to visit the area this weekend & might see him if he is free. I don’t want him to think I’m stalking him and I was really surprised he appeared as a match since I didn’t even know he was on the site. Would you say something?
Oh yeah, we matched in everyway except for age. He is looking for someone younger. btw, I look much younger than I am & I have never told him my age ’cause he never asked.

I know that "plenty of fish" is free but the people on there are ridiculous. What site, in your opinion, has the best representation of people out there. I am guessing eHarmony is probably too expensive for most people… so maybe Match, or Chemistry, or… who knows?

Online dating, what's the deal?

With all the electronic communication floating around, and the numberous amounts of dating sites, why is it that they don’t work? Or if they do actually work, why do they recommend other sites (example of Match.com recommending chemistry.com)? And it seems like none of these sites are free, and heaven forbid there be a chatting site anymore without the overflow of bots selling god knows what. I think I wasted enough money on so many different sites, that I’m fed up and looking for answers. How do these sites really work except to suck out money from our pockets and show nothing in return?

I’m a 32-year-old, heterosexual male who is single:

I am a subscribed/paid membership, totaling to at l e a s t 0.00 per month, to the following Internet ‘dating’ sites to “ ‘find’/‘look’/‘seek’ for a ‘love’ mate and experience mutual ‘love’ with this person”:
1. Yahoo.com
2. Match.com
3. True.com
4. Eharmony.com
5. Chemistry.com
6. FriendFinder.com
7. Passion.com
8. BigChurch.com
9. MySpace.com

I place/post photo(s) of myself on my personal ad/profile for each of the websites listed above.

After I read the match’s personal ad/profile, I write and send a different email to each ‘match’ for initiating contact with peer-aged match (the woman or women).

However, I constantly experience that the ‘matched’ person(s)— the peer-aged women–; regardless of race/ethnicity, regardless of her photo or none on her personal ad/profile; that the peer-aged Women do selectively eliminate me– they do n o t reply to any of my email(s) I sent– as potentially being her either platonic friend or amorous/romantic partner based upon h e r preference selection of "Her Ideal Person’s" traits, such as:
1) Height,
2) Race/ethnicity
3) ‘Body type’, and
4) Income/Occupation.

A. What is going on with the Online Internet ‘Dating’/"Personal Ad" craze/fad or ‘thing’– "Woman seeks Man"/"Man
seeks Woman"? ? ?

B. Where are the real Woman; n o t the Woman who are fake/’flakes’ or n o t those that are " teasers of
written/worded Personal Ads/Profiles, photos, and such)” ? ? ?

Online dating is not “what you see is what you get.” Photos are often swiped from modeling agency sites and profiles often completely plagiarized. Romance scams are pervasive, including this story of a convicted online dating pedophile.

What’s the deal with this prejudice/discrimination from these peer-aged women with so-called ‘matched’ profiles ads???

This is for my friend. He complains most have guys looking for hookups…dates too, but rarely serious relationships. So if you know of a respectable site please let me know.

Also, it should be free. I suggested the gay version of match.com but its pay. He wants something free.

Thank you.
