First a little background; I’m 26 and decent looking. I’ve been a few long term relationships, the most recent one ending about a month ago after about 1 year. I just moved to a small town, and I am interested in getting back out there in the dating scene. I’ve always had a blast dating and I really enjoy getting to know people. I’m sick of the bar scene (after 4 years of bartending, I’m sick of sleazy pick up lines!). So I decided to try online dating, not much luck. The first guy obviously put someone elses picture up, the second lied about his age, the third was so perverted I left before our lunch arrived and the fourth wasn’t good looking at all (I know that sounds shallow, but there has to be chemistry, right?). So here are my questions: first, does any one have any tips to online dating, or maybe a good site for northern california (I’ve tried e-harmony and yahoo personals). And second, besides fate, bars, and the internet; how else do you meet cute single guys?
Wow, you know what sucks? Is that people with yahoo messenger can read these questions. I number four, who was at least a very nice guy. Just read my message. Guess what I feel like? Starts with a B!

I have thought about it…like, what type of people will answer my ads..lol Which site is a good one to try?? E-Harmony? True.com? Yahoo Personals?? ANY ideas, examples, suggestions are welcome.. thx

E-harmony seems rather dry, but probably has more users than Chemistry. Chemistry looks fun, but I’m not certain how many active users there are. Match probably has the most active users, but it’s pretty anonymous and impersonal. So which should I try?

Has anyone tried online dating? What’s the best site? E-Harmony looks like they set you up based on a lot of criteria, but they are more expensive than like match.com or chemistry.com. I also had a friend who met their husband on myspace and that’s free!
Any suggestions or recommendations?

so i’ve been on all these sites like e-harmony, chemistry, singlesnet, etc. but dang! In order for me to actually communicate with these people I have to pay a subscription! does anyone know a site that’s COMPLETELY free like myspace and what not? because a lot of these sites say FREE but only to view profiles and stuff, I need a totally free site that won’t charge me for looking for someone, help please?
thanks!

I haven’t had much luck W’ Yahoo & am biased against E Harmony so now I thought I’d try a crack @ plenty of fish. Are all these sites basically the same or are there any differences? Any REAL LIFE success stories. I work in a company with mostly married people & most of my friends are married so I really have no outlet to meet other men. Esp since churches are a JOKE & I don’t believe in a "God" anyway!
Please don’t answer if you’re under 18: esp since ppl under 18 aren’t ALLOWED to use these services.
I don’t need to hear "They are a joke" & if you THINK so I suggest you name 5 decent places in Houston,TX a WHITE 25 y.o woman can meet a DECENT man with no kids!
