At one point I was doing the whole online dating thing. This seemed to be pretty fruitless as I would spend hours sending out icebreakers and flirts only to get no response. At the same time, the women that found it necessary to flirt with me were soooo not my type it’s not even funny. It’s like they didn’t even read my "ideal match". Am I somehow not as handsome as I thought? Why am I attracting the bottom of the barrel? Where are the attractive ladies? Check out my old posting on yahoo for more insight.

I heard that a lot of kids and pre-teens r dating online, and i’ve gone to 7 sites already! where should i go? i’m 12 almost 13. and i am really confused!(sigh.) WHAT SHOULD I DO?????????????

P.S.- i also heard that a lot of pre-teens who date online find their "perfect match", is that possible, if so, can u name at least 1 site i could go 2? i’ve been lookng for at lt an hr.

I’m a 22 year old man that decided to try my hand at online dating. I met this one girl and I knew it was not a "love match", but thought we could be good friends. I would always answer her emails immediately after getting one from her, but I did not write her more than that. She stopped writing and I asked her why she said I was suffocating her with emails. I honestly thought I was being polite. I’m not heart broken over this but confused. Is there an online dating rule I don’t know about concerning how long to wait before replying? I just didn’t want to be a jerk by not answering her.
